Starting a Revolution, One Film at a Time

Max Kunz as Quaid, on set of The Indication of Zion

Art has become too calculated, too algorithmically targeted. I want to change things by doing them differently, exploring new ways to create.

My current film is called, The Indication of Quixan, a sci-fi noir shot entirely in front of a green screen. I am leading the project as the writer, director, cinematographer, and the sole VFX artist. Along the way I have collected artists and friends from the community, and asked them to leave their own imprint on the project.

Principal photography took place over 8 days in April 2025, in a leaky garage with a combined cast and crew of a dozen people. Since then I have been using Blender to design the world in which this story takes place.

Stay tuned for progress updates on the film, as well as behind the scenes material and resources for making your own independent, micro-budget, sci-fi cinema.
