For years I collected trash to build my megacity (much to the chagrin of my wife.) Gatorade bottles were turned into signal towers, and old coffee carriers were repurposed into Mars-ish space rocks.
But not all trash is created equal.
And from the rubbish, FL-8C0 was born.

Once used for hot-tub repair projects by my Father-in-law, FL8-CO found his way to me after his retirement. I knew, even then, that all he needed was a fresh coat of paint and some doo-dads, and he could find new life as my cleaning repair droid in the first scene of Indication of Quixan.
Prop Master, Nathan Weidman, turned the humble hot-tub bot into a sweeper droid. He was then scanned into Blender and animated, so that he could live out his dream with all the other robots on the Ark.
